Monkey Baa Theatre Company celebrates the diversity of Australian stories and literature, creating, presenting and touring theatre and education programs for audiences aged 0-18. The company examines social issues to help young people navigate the complexity of growing up in contemporary Australia and presents theatre that reflects their world.

Monkey Baa Theatre Company creates, presents and tours theatre and education programs for audiences aged 0-18. We have written 23 new Australian works and won 11 awards.
Monkey Baa celebrates the diversity of Australian stories and literature on the stage and has reached 1.3 million young people with our productions and visited 135 regional and remote communities across every state and territory in Australia and 35 communities internationally.
In 2018, Monkey Baa will produce Josephine Wants to Dance based on the book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley, The show, adapted by Eva Di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry, directed by Jonathon Biggins with music composed by Phil Scott will tour to 49 venues across Australia. On top of this, Monkey Baa will also be in development for Mem Fox’s classic Possum Magic for a 2019 Australian national tour.
