information on first timers' program

By design a market is fast paced, busy and crowded with activity. APAM 2018 is offering a new program for first time attendees to provide you with guidance and the basic tools to better navigate the marketplace.

Those accepted into the program will be matched to an APAM Industry Consultant. Each Industry Consultant will engage with a group of eight first time attendees pre-APAM via an online portal as well as during a dedicated session on the first morning of APAM.

The aim of the First Timers’ Program is to provide

  • Deeper engagement in APAM
  • Expanded networks
  • Confidence and strategic approaches for attending future markets

The program is open to Australian and New Zealand first time APAM attendees.

First timers will need to have the following prepared before the first day of APAM 2018:

  • Business cards
  • Two-minute elevator pitch
  • Video content and images relating to any works they are bringing to the market to reference or sell
