CINARS, International Exchange for the Performing Arts
CINARS (The International Exchange for the Performing Arts) is a non-profit
private sector organization based in Montreal, and since 1984, has been
contributing to the international recognition of Canada's performing arts.
CINARS is internationally recognized for its biennial conference &
marketplace, which brings together more than 1000 artists, agents, presenters,
observers and producers from more than 40 countries. Next marketplace
event in Montreal: November 19-23, 2002. CINARS also supports artistic
companies by offering various services in Canada and abroad: participation
in numerous commercial fairs, organization of international missions,
discussion and exchange forums, export training workshops for agents,
and export consulting services.
ATMO PRODUCTIONS INC.
Uriel G. Luft, President of Atmo Productions Inc, has organized tours
on four continents for more than 40 years. At the Australian Performing
Arts Market he proposes: LES BALLETS JAZZ DE MONTREAL, Director Louis
Robitaille, October/November 2003; HAMBURG BALLET, Director and Choreographer
John Neumeier, in January/February 2004; LA LA LA HUMAN STEPS, Director
and Choreographer Edouard Lock, in January to March 2004; LES GRANDS BALLETS
CANADIENS DE MONTREAL in a full evening production of THE QUEEN OF SPADES,
choreography Kim Branstrup, music based on P.I. Tchaikovsky; WADAIKO YAMATO,
Japanese taiko group, Leader Masaaki Ogawa, in June/July 2004; and THEATRE
SANS FIL, giant puppet group, in its production of RAVEL (Bolero and L'Enfant
et les Sortileges), in February/March 2003.
AXIS THEATRE COMPANY*
Over its 26 year long and richly creative history Axis has amused, inspired,
moved and sometimes startled thousands of children, families and adults
with its theatrical presentations. Axis has toured in Canada, USA, Israel,
Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Scotland, France, Austria, Belgium, Italy,
Finland and Denmark. Through the vision of artistic director, Wayne Specht,
Axis theatre has actively pursued a multi-disciplinary style of presentation,
incorporating many theatrical disciplines including mime, clown, puppetry
and acrobatics underscored by inventive text and music. Stretching the
boundaries of live theatre, Axis has produced 44 original works and been
rewarded with 14 Jessie Richardson Awards by the Vancouver theatre community.
CATALYST THEATRE
The Blue Orphan
An epic musical by Jonathan Christenson and Joey Tremblay
The Blue Orphan uses poetic text, striking visual imagery, evocative music,
and a bold physical performance style, to tell the stories of an old mill
town on the eve of a cataclysmic storm. Catalyst Theatre is an award-winning,
professional, creation-based theatre company that has toured its original
work across Canada and the U.K.
COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD
Compagnie Marie Chouinard is a contemporary dance company whose 11 dancers
tour a large repertoire world-wide. Choreographer Marie Chouinard's works
have been presented in major theatres and festivals in cities such as
Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, London and New York.

SIX STAGES THEATRICAL EVENTS
da da kamera is the creation based company of Daniel MacIvor
and Sherrie Johnson. Since 1986 da da kamera has been producing new work,
and has toured to festivals all over the world. At da da kamera we believe
in the life, breath, and spontaneity of the work and reject the decorative
and formulaic in order to develop the essential connection: the clear
and simple exchange of energy between the performer and the audience.
Six Stages is a movable, small-scale festival where artists' work can
be seen, heard and given opportunity for artistic collaborations, co-productions
and national/international touring. Six Stages seeks to promote artistic
and cultural exchange through performances, workshops, lectures, conferences
and informal meetings. Six Stages 2002 will take place in Glasgow, Berlin
and Prague. Six Stages 2003 will take place in Toronto.
GREEN THUMB THEATRE*
Green Thumb Theatre is one of Canada's leading theatre companies for young
people - creating original plays that deal with contemporary issues that
are of concern to young audiences. Founded in 1975, Green Thumb has performed
throughout Canada, the U.S., England, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands,
Germany, Sweden, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico.
JOHN LAMBERT & ASS.
John Lambert & Assoc. represents internationally: Les Deux Mondes
Theatre Company which presents Leitmotiv at the 2002 New Zealand Festival
and the Adelaide Festival Centre, 4D art (Michel Lemieux Victor Pilon)
whose virtual reality production, Anima premieres in June, Cirque Eloize
which has toured throughout Australia and New Zealand and Ronnie Burkett
Theatre of Marionettes which premieres in Australia in October 2002. A
member of the Board of Directors of CINARS and ISPA, John Lambert is formerly
Programmer of Street Performance at the Festival International de Jazz
de Montreal, actor and clown.
KIDS' ENTERTAINMENT & CH PROMOTES*
Since 1995, the prime mandate of Kids' Entertainment has been to bring
the very best of theatre for young audiences to performing arts organizations
around the world. The current roster includes artists and theatre companies
from across Canada, America, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands and the
United Kingdom. The roster has such stellar companies as The Kennedy Center's
Immagination in Celebration on Tour, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, David
Gonzalez, Catherine Wheels, Theatre Terra, Visible Fictions Theatre Company,
Theatre Triebwerk, Blue Grassy Knoll and Dare Devil Opera Company. In
the year 2000 CH Promotes was launched to allow artists on the roster
to expand their performances to include general public and adult audiences.
Currently the roster has such artists as the Arrogant Worms, The Flaming
Idiots, ISH, Do Jump and Blue Grassy Knoll.
MEMORANDA PRODUCTIONS
We specialize in career development in the performing arts since 1979.
We presently are managing and developing tours for Cas Public/choreographer
Hélène Blackburn, a contemporary dance company whose repertoire
also includes a work for young audiences and their families. Dulcinea
Langfelder is an artist who blends different disciplines to create contemporary
tragic comedies. Their uniqueness has created enormous touring activity
in Canada and abroad, more specifically, Europe and the United States.
Our goal is to introduce these artists and their works in Australia. We
also provide consulting services for artists and give workshops in career
development in the performing arts.
MENNO PLUKKER THEATRE AGENT INC.
For the past 15 years Menno Plukker has represented theatre and dance
companies from across Canada. During this time the agency has successfully
taken productions and companies from Canada and other countries to festivals
and venues all over the world. Currently, Menno Plukker Theatre Agent
Inc. represents: Ex Machina (Robert Lepage), Carbone 14 (Gilles Maheu),
The Holy Body Tattoo (Noam Gagnon, Dana Gingras), Toronto Dance Theatre
(Christopher House), STO Union (Jacob Wren and Nadia Ross), Infrarouge
Théâtre (Marie Brassard), Tusket (Tammy Forsythe), The Cabaret
Company (Sky Gilbert) and Lola Dance (Lola McLaughlin). Menno Plukker
is also the co-artistic director of Six Stages, a bi-annual small scale
theatre festival in Toronto, Canada. Menno Plukker is also the co-founder,
with Sherrie Johnson, of the Informal American Theatre Meeting.
O VERTIGO DANSE
Founded in 1984, O Vertigo Danse is a cultural organization devoted to
creation in contemporary dance and to the presentation of the works of
it's founder, Artistic Director and Choreographer, Ginette Laurin. Renowned
on the national and international scene, O Vertigo has toured extensively
in Quebec, Canada, United-States, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Israel and Japan.

Scrap Arts Music? Cutting-edge percussion theatre featuring futuristic
sculpture on wheels, powerful original music and five hyper-kinetic performers

THEATRE DE L'OEIL
Theatre de l'Oeil, a touring company founded in 1973, devoted exclusively
to the art of puppetry. Recognized for their exceptional quality, the
shows of Theatre de l'Oeil have been enthusiastically received in Algeria,
Germany, Belgium, China, the United States, France, Japan, Switzerland
and throughout Canada. The numerous prizes awarded to the company throughout
the years are testimony to the excellence of over twenty productions in
Theatre de l'Oeil's repertoire.
