Meow Meow has wowed audiences world-wide with her own brand of vamped-up kamikaze cabaret and exotica performance art.
She has played Berlin's Philharmonic, Paris' Theatre de la Ville, Shanghai's Glamour Room, Sydney Opera House, NY Lincoln Centre, Tokyo Saitama, Rex Theater Wuppertal and The Spiegeltent at Dublin, Brighton UK, New York, Sydney, Auckland, Edinburgh and Melbourne Festivals. Meow Meow is a frequent guest for the Spiegeltent's La Clique, and New York's Weimar performance project alongside Justin Bond (Kiki and Herb) and Taylor Mac.
Meow Meow is a recipient of numerous awards, including two DAAD fellowships for theatre in Berlin, The Dance Paris residency, and the Franklin Furnace Fund for Performance Art Award (New York). She has created works for international arts festivals, including the U.S Time-Based Arts Festival in Portland Oregon, the Adelaide Festival, and recently collaborated on a two-woman show with China's most controversial contemporary dancer and first acknowledged transsexual, Jin Xing in Shanghai.
This year she performed a Mardi Gras season of
Beyond Glamour with Pink Martini's Thomas M Lauderdale for Sydney Opera House, as well as recording an album with him: "Here Kitty Kitty…the Lost Sessions". She featured in the Ile Phenomenale Festival in France with Julie Atlas Muz and Dirty Martini, and sold out solo shows at Joe's Pub New York. She collaborated in New York with Shortbus and Hedwig and the Angry Inch director and creator John Cameron Mitchell. Her solo cabaret show was also chosen for - and sold out - David Bowie's High Line Festival in New York.
