APAM brings together more than 400 of the most important performing arts presenters and producers from around Australia and overseas - it is a unique networking opportunity for anyone whose livelihood is in the performing arts.

APAM is an essential diary date for artists, companies, performers, agents, government and cultural organisations. It is the prime destination for promotion, networking and gaining an insight into Australia's performing arts.

APAM is presented during late summer in one of the world's great festival cities at the best possible time. The Adelaide Fringe will be in full swing and the Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts - one of the most important arts festivals in the southern hemisphere - opens on APAM's closing day. Here is the perfect environment for a stimulating performing arts market; you can network, do serious business and see up to 40 excerpts and full-length productions within one week.

APAM 2008 builds on the success of APAMs held biennially since 1994. APAM is funded by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts and the South Australian Government through Arts SA. It is presented with the support of the Australia International Cultural Council, an initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Adelaide Festival Centre.

APAM has won acclaim from the thousands of presenters, artists and arts organisations who have taken part in the seven markets held to date. The Event Manager can offer advice on how to make the most of your participation.

As an Australian performing artist working in Australia or overseas, you could apply to take part in the Spotlight program or the Searlight pitch sessions, promote your work via meetings and DVD screenings at an On Display booth, or register as a delegate and network with the many venue managers and producers in attendance, or perhaps even meet other artists with whom you can collaborate in the future.

As a booth holder or a delegate, buyer or seller, you can develop relationships with artists, producers, presenters, venue managers, festival directors and more from around Australia, New Zealand and the world.

Through a series of breakfasts and cocktail parties, forums and interaction with Spotlight artists and On Display exhibitors, buyers and sellers alike will have a unique opportunity to engage with a range of national and international participants.
