EMDG
The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme is the Australian Government's principal financial assistance program for aspiring and current exporters. The scheme is administered by Austrade and is aimed at encouraging small and medium sized Australian businesses to develop export markets by reimbursing up to 50 per cent of export promotion expenses above $15,000 incurred in the previous financial year (first-time applicants can combine two years' expenses to meet this threshold). The scheme has $170 million available.

NEDP
Austrade offers a package of free export services designed to assist small and medium-sized Australian companies develop their businesses overseas and make their first export sale. It gives Australian businesses the best possible start to exporting, by providing a wide range of free services to new exporters including advice and information about getting into exporting, export coaching, and assistance on the ground in foreign markets.
