APAM 2016

The Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) is Australia’s leading, internationally focused industry event for contemporary performing arts. The Official Program will commence on Monday 22 February and conclude on Friday 26 February 2016.

APAM 2016 will be an exciting showcase of Australian and New Zealand performing artists and companies with full performances, excerpt and pitch sessions held during the five days. The event will welcome over 600 delegates and provide the opportunity to exchange ideas, develop collaborations and network with national and international presenters, agents and influencers.


Brisbane Powerhouse will be the hub for APAM 2016, with the program extending to partner venues including the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts (JWCOCA), and the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Showcase and pitch sessions will be held within the comfort of Brisbane Powerhouse and our partner venues performance spaces. QPAC is providing the stunning Concert Hall venue and Cremorne Theatre. QUT’s Gardens Theatre overlooks the beautiful Botanic Gardens and the JWCOCA is a dynamic facility in close proximity to Brisbane’s Chinatown areaand the live music and entertainment scene of Fortitude Valley.


APAM is proud to announce the Sofitel Brisbane Central will be the official hotel in 2016. Positioned in the heart of Brisbane with breathtaking views of the city and surrounds, the hotel’s reputation as the leading choice in luxury accommodation and conferencing is truly deserved. It will also house The Exchange activities including APAM’s On Display Booths.


Complimentary bus transport will be provided for APAM delegates from the Sofitel Brisbane Central to Brisbane Powerhouse and partner venues for all programmed events.


The APAM 2016 Program will be announced and delegate registrations will open on 21 October 2015, coinciding with the program launch of WTF- Brisbane Powerhouse’s festival of contemporary performing arts.
